Through its part-time CFO services The A Team implemented updated internal controls over cash, AR, billing and AP.  They instituted budgeting and cash flow planning, including collecting receivables when bills were due rather than when they needed money.  In addition, they trained staff and upgraded staff where necessary.

The Challenge

A $65 million manufacturer and exporter of commodities was unable to synch industry specific  operational software with its  accounting package.  The company’s bank was threatening to pull the $10 million line of credit since the company was 8 months behind in submitting required financial statements.

The Solution

The A Team’s interim CFO generated interim financial statements for the bank, which accounted for the discrepancies between the two software products. The CFO then followed up with the maker of the industry specific operational software to reconcile the incompatibilities.  This enabled the client to generate timely financial statements, which led to a 50% increase in the line of credit limits.

The Challenge

A $10 million software developer was looking to sell 100% of the company to one of their investors. They did not have the financial expertise to provide the analysis, projections and accrual financial statements as required by the potential acquirer.

The Solution

The A Team provided interim controller services which included bringing the books up-to-date, providing 5 year projections and producing accrual financial statements.  While the investor ultimately did not exercise their purchase option, the interim controller was hired on a permanent basis to lead the financial team and expanded his role to include board of directors' reports and presentations.
